The Gallipoli to Armistice Memorial in Queens Park and the Maryborough Mural Trail have been named as finalists in the 2020 Australian Street Art Awards. The Gallipoli to Armistice Memorial has been shortlisted for the Best Monument or Memorial, while the Maryborough Mural Trail is a Best Street Art Trail contender.

A thrilling new class has been added to the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships which will hold its final round of racing for the year off Hervey Bay on the last weekend in November 2019.

Tasman Venture was recognised as the best Tour and Transport Operator in the State at the prestigious Queensland Tourism Awards, held at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre Novotel Resort on Friday night.

Up against the state’s best, the award recognises the outstanding contribution made by Tasman Venture to Tourism through the combined provision of touring and transport services. 

Hervey Bay has today been announced as the first Whale Heritage Site in the world, declared by the World Cetacean Alliance at its international conference in Hervey Bay.

In preparing for the World Whale Conference in October, Fraser Coast Tourism & Events is working with the Fraser Coast Regional Council to develop a whale sculpture on the Hervey Bay foreshore to reinforce the region as one of the most significant humpback whale destinations in the world.
